head lice

prevention and treatment of head lice

KTI

The head lice  inside the human head is the size of a sesame seed and has six legs. When it is in its infancy, it lays eight eggs a day and does not melt by shaking, thus distinguishing it from the scalp wrinkles called dandruff

headlice cannot jump or fly, so they are only transmitted by direct contact with pillows, clothing, hats, combs, and hair-contact items of an infected person

After a lice  has mated, it lays 8 to 10 eggs daily. Each egg needs a male and female to reach reproductive potential. It takes 18 days to grow to lay the first new egg and 32 days to reach 8 daily Replace the eggs

For treatment, there are currently special shampoos and sprays available in pharmacies and nursing clinic , as well as special combs to remove nit and dead lice\\\'s. Washable items such as backpacks, shoulders, hats, blankets, etc. should be washed with warm clean water. Those that cannot be washed should be placed in large bags and covered in the sun for 72 hours Food should be destroyed because horses feed on  blood cells and die within 24 hours of exposure

To prevent head lice , more awareness should be spread on the ways of transmission and early treatment, the use of personal items, not wearing combs and pillows, not changing hats, etc
