World Autism Awareness Day
In 2007, the UN General Assembly designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day. The United Nations has dedicated this day as a means of affirming and promoting the realization of all human rights and fundamental freedoms for people with autism on an equal basis with others To encourage UN Member States to take measures to raise awareness about people with autism worldwide,
Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disorder that affects the ability to communicate and interact socially.
Autism is classified as a neurological disorder that affects normal brain development and causes problems in understanding and communicating with others.
The symptoms of autism spectrum disorder vary from person to person and include difficulties with verbal and nonverbal communication, difficulty understanding and expressing emotions, and repetitive behaviors and interests. People with autism may also show unusual behavioral reactions, such as repetitive movements or hypersensitivity to sounds or smells.
Although autism has no cure, it can be effectively managed through evidence-based behavioral and psychological therapy and education. In addition, individuals with autism can benefit from family and community support to improve their quality of life and increase their chances of success in society.
On World Autism Day, we encourage greater awareness and understanding of the disorder and support individuals with the disorder to live full and independent lives. By offering support and understanding, we can all contribute to creating a more accepting and supportive society for all its members.
We are all different, but difference is part of our beauty as human beings.
Thank you to many families, doctors, teachers and coaches
They have worked tirelessly to improve the living conditions of people with autism.
